Dear friends,
Here’s a prayer I’ve found helpful as I have grieved for members of my family who have died:
May choirs of angels escort you into Paradise:
And at your arrival may the martyrs receive and welcome you;
May they bring you home into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the holy angels welcome you,
and with Lazarus, who lived in poverty, may you have everlasting rest.
Saints of God, come to her aid!
Come to meet her, angels of the Lord!
May Christ who called you, take you to himself;
May angels lead you to Abraham’s side.
Give her eternal rest, O Lord,
and may your light shine on her forever.
Receive her soul and present her to God,
to God the Most High.

find a place of light, happiness and peace
and rejoice forever in the vision of God’s glory.
With deepest sympathy and prayers
that the love of God and the support of family and friends
comfort you in your time of sorrow.
