I will always remember Wendell for his always optimistic outlook. I along with about 7 of my sailing friends spend a week at Lake Perry and were always made welcome by Wendell and Karen. It will not be the same place without him, but I count myself very fortunate to have known Wendell and to have experienced his wonderful sense of humor and his love of people.

Several of my friends and I spend a week or two each summer at lake Perry. We've been doing it for over 20 years. 2 or 3 years ago we met Wendell and Karen there in their role as camp hosts. In no time, Wendell and Karen had befriended all of us and made our stay there even more special. Wendell was always a gracious host, and put up with our nonsense wonderfully. We all especially enjoyed his smile and his keen wit. We'll be back at that camp again this coming year but it won't be the same without our friend. We'll all truly miss Wendell and hope to look in on Karen from time to time.

Sure sorry to hear of your loss. Us kids all grew up with Wendell and Howard. He was in my class all the way from grade thru high school. After high school we all went our separate ways in life, but for some reason, every so often I would think of Wendell.
I was hoping I would see him at the fair, but he hadn't came back from Lake Perry.
Our condolences to all his family, I know he will be missed.

Karen, Kendall, Debra:
Wendell was a great man. I have very fond memories of working with him when I was young, especially driving his JD tractors when filling the silo and helping to milk sometimes. He always treated me great. You all have me and my families prayers.
