Obituary of Western Juket Doughty
Western Juket Doughty, age 25, died on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas as the result of a vehicle accident.
He was born on July 11, 1983, at Iola, Kansas, the son of Mark Owen Doughty and Betty (Pace) Doughty. He graduated from Marmaton Valley High School in 2001. Western served in the U.S. Army from 2001 to 2008, serving two tours of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
On December 20, 2003, he was united in marriage to Nicole George at Iola, Kansas. This union was blessed with one daughter.
Western was a member of the FFA and TSA while in school. He enjoyed dirt bike riding, fishing, target shooting, and being a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Doughty and daughter Karlie Doughty of Hamilton, Missouri; his father, Mark Doughty of Moran, Kansas; his mother, Betty Doughty of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Van Doughty of Spring, Texas; Newton Doughty of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and numerous family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Iola, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008, at the funeral home in Moran, Kansas.
