It has taken me some time to come to terms with Jim's passing. I admired this man greatly. I was on the ARMA's board of directors for 9 years and I always knew that if I needed some advice I could turn to jim. He was honest and trustworthy to a fault. We fished together, hunted together and tipped a few drinks together. I have never known a more faithful and true friend. Rest in peace buddy.

Jimmy Pat lived across the street from us and many on 58th and Michigan, KCMo. My sister Jane was in his class at St. Therese the Little Flower, which was just about next door to Jim, except the Parish Rectory was between them. Jimmy Dunn, also in their class lived across the street from Jim.
Jim was a good guy. As I remember, he had a "police dog (German Shepard)" which were kind of rare back then. About every child on the block and neighborhood went to St. Therese. We were all close and played together.
I went in the service for four years in February of 1960. I remember Jim giving me a ride home from Rockhurst High School in 1959. The college and the high school were then both located at 52nd and Troost. In the ride I remember Jim talking about the Marines and he was in them while in college.
My sister Jane sent me an email after I sent her Jim's obituary. She said she was not surprised he made a career of the military since he was always playing soldiers. I thank Jim for his service, he and your family will be in my prayers every day.

I worked for Jim at ARMA for almost 20 years. He was truly a "Marine with a Huge Heart". I am a better person for knowing him and he will take a piece of my heart with him. Rest In Peace, my Dear Friend. Love & Hugs to Linda and all of Jim's Family.

Jim was my father's, Bob Souders, only brother. I have such fond memories of Jim and my cousins when I was growing up, and in later years of him and Linda coming to visit my father several times after his cancer diagnosis before he passed away in 2008. I always enjoyed visiting with him and hearing his stories. Rest in Peace dear Uncle --- you leave behind a void in the country you so proudly served and in our family.

Prayers to Linda and the rest of the family. I have known Mr.Souders since I was a young boy when my father bought land next door to him and his wife. I would look forward to when my dad would take us next door to visit with him and Linda they were always the kindest people you would ever meet. Mr.Souders had some amazing stories I have always admired Mr.Souders for the soldier he was, a true American hero and patriot the man loved his country it was an absolute honor to know him may he rest easy with his fellow soldiers. I pray when I get to heaven I may shake his hand again. God Bless.
