Heaven has gained a shining star and friend to all.. As a member of the class of '54, I am proud to have had the opportunity to know Dan. He was always the same, smiling and greeting everyone at the reunions. I will miss that warn welcome to Iola. My thought and prayers are with you. May you find comfort in knowing he was so loved and regarded.

Judy and I are saddened and the passing of Dan. As a high school classmate and friend Dan stood out as a wonderful person who was a friend to everyone he met, taking an active interest in their lives and their family. I looked forward to seeing the two of you at each reunion. I wish that he could have watched the Jayhawks take down OSU today in the Big 12 Tournament, but he probably had a better view.
