Dear Carter Family,
I just found out, I’m so heartbroken for you all. I met Linda at Dr Balanoff’s office where my kids were patients 1995-2000. She became my mentor, role model and most of all friend. She visited me when I had my fifth child at the hospital.
My husband then went on active duty, with all our moves we stayed in touch. She sent me a cute plaque with all our duty stations/moves that I still have up today.
What a very special mom, she loved you all so much. May God bless you all, in my thoughts and prayers,
Anita Criqui

Dear family of Linda Carter: I just recently found out that Linda had passed away. Linda and I used to exchange Christmas cards and notes. I knew your mom through your dad Walter. I had the wonderful privilege of working with Walter in the Olathe School District for many years, always admiring his tenacity and humor! Your mom and dad bought me two of my favorite Christmas movies - the Christmas Story and Come to the Stable. A yearly tradition to watch them. You mom always said in her notes that she was praying for me and that meant the world to me. Both of your parents were such giving people. I am so sorry for your loss. I will make a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association in your mom's honor. Sincerely, Alison Banikowski

Dear Linda's Family,
I worked with your Mom from 1979 to about 1986 when she was a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I would continue to see her periodically after she retired. She was a great Labor and Delivery Nurse and was respected by the nurses and doctors she worked with and her patients felt safe in her care. She was a kind and caring person and we all enjoyed working with her. I was saddened when I heard of her passing but knew for sure that she was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior. I know she will be missed here by so many. I am so sorry I will be unable to attend her funeral or burial service. All your family will be in my prayers.
Most sincerely,
Janine Elias

We would like to send our condolences to the family of Linda Carter. We have fond memories of her shopping at Pat's Place in Olathe. She loved dressing with style and flair and was more than a customer, but a friend. She had a great sense of humor and had a way of bringing a smile to every situation. We are sorry for your loss.....she was a great lady!

Linda and I were on the same debate team in high school and grew to be good friends. She and my sister Nona roomed together in college and remained lifelong friends, so I have seen Linda throughout the years. Linda was always fun to be with, always enjoyed sharing about her family, and when she was working, had many funny and wonderful stories to tell about her work. Linda adored her grandchildren and was especially glad to be a close member of their lives. She will be missed.

Mrs. Carter always had a kind word and a smile on her face at Mass—she was inspiring.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Linda became my good firend when we went to KU nursing school. We both lived at home during the program and would dirve together to the Med Center. Needless to say we could cover alot of topics in the short distance from her house to the school. She was so great in nursing school and I appricated her support and comaraderie during those tough two years.
Linda also had a great sense of humor( sometimes a little dry) and we laughed a great deal. During rough times she could find something positive. Walter was her great love and her family- parents, children and grandchildren were always so important to her.
I will miss her yet I know she and Walter and her parents are reunited.
