I would like to express my sympathy to the family for the loss of their husband, father, and grandfather. Loss of such a strong leader is always very hard.
Harold and Sharon Denchfield
I wanted to pay tribute to one of the special men in my life, my father in law, Delmer. His selflessness, generosity and his humor will always be remembered and missed.
Over the last 39 years I have come to know Delmer quite well. I always enjoyed listening to his childhood stories and appreciated his words of advice.
After Delmer was diagnosed with cancer he never complained or asked "why me?" He graciously accepted the fact that nothing could be done to cure the disease and he lived his last days out to the fullest.
Over the last few months as his health was deteriorating and we knew our time was running out I kept praying to allow Craig and I more time with him. After seeing him in pain the last week I realized I was being selfish. I wasn't ready to let him go. Then I remembered the saying "when you love someone let them go."
Delmer, remember I told you I loved you as I sat holding your hand the night before you passed? I feel like you heard me. I told myself when everything else fails I know LOVE never fails!
I will think of you often and appreciate and love you more than you will ever know.
Until we meet again.......
Love,
Tammy
