Wayne was a very dear friend. He was so sweet and kind and always smiling or laughing even when he may not have felt like it. I always liked talking to him and catching up and talking about the old days. HA! Met him on 1973 in Moran when he was living in the Moran motel and coming to the Moran dances. There was a group of us Senior girls he kept entertained with stories or maybe it was reversed. Lots of laughs!! Then he moved to a little house in LaHarpe and he had parties whenever we asked him to. More laughs! As time passed and he traveled he would always check back in over the years whenever he was back visiting family. We did Christmas cards. When he finally moved back to Oswatomie I did see him several times and talked to him on the phone. He was just Wayne! Such a sweetheart! He will be so missed! I send my condolences to all of his family! He loved you all! and was so glad to have the time back in the area to spend time with you all.
