I thank God for my Dad. There are not words to describe what he means to us. He was so loving and so devoted to 'his girls'. We are so sad and yet at the same time celebrate his life and entrance into heaven. He promised to be waiting for us there. We will find our comfort in God, family and friends during this very tough time. We love you DAD!

Papa had an incredible talent for so many things. As I look into our cul-de-sac I see the drain cover that he built so that his grandson's toys would not fall into and disappear. My three boys said that they will miss Papa teaching them "stuff" and building a tower with them. Terry, I don't remember the tower...but they sure do! Papa just always brought a smile to all of our faces! There were many times that I would be driving the boys home from school and we would come up our street to see a red truck in Terry's driveway and Riley and my boys would cheer "Papa's here!" Raising three girls is a tribute of love reserved for a few special people, including your father! We look forward to celebrating Papa's life on Saturday.

Terry & family,
Although never having the honor of meeting your dad, from stories I believe he was a man who let very little get him down - and enjoyed living life to the fullest. I have no doubt that memories of his spirited life on earth will bring smiles to his loved ones forever! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

What a sweet man. Always good to so many. He was a little on the onery side, but only in fun.
I got to know him some when I would drink coffee with the girls at Shell. He and his good friend Clarence would have more fun with each other, but you could see they genuinely cared about each other. He will be missed by so many, but what fun he is going to have up above.

Marvin will be greatly missed by all who knew him......he never knew a stranger. Every time I saw him he had a smile on his face and he always took the time to speak to people......he is with the Lord now where he is at peace--no more sickness or pain......Gloria, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Terry you and your family are in our hearts and prayers on this difficult day. Mark and I were fondly remembering the earlier years in the cul-de-sac when your dad was so often a great presence to all of us who sat outside watching our young kids play. He was warm, kind, funny and loved to tease. When he watched over Riley and Sydney it was easy to see the great love and pride and he had for them. I'll never forget the time he insisted Paige could spend the night even though you were away. What a character! He was a lovely man who will live forever in your heart!

If only heaven was in the yellow pages, I would call you up to tell you just how much I miss you , I love you, & only wished you could of stayed!! Grandpa was a hero in my eye's. He was a very intelligent, wise soul. He helped me allot growing up. He was an amazing grandpa. Even when I did out grow his lap, he tried to find any way to comfort me through bad times. He prayed with me when my daughter almost died on us. He guided me when I had not a clue what I was doing, with gentle patience. He was always my biggest fan when I come up with a good prank. Its hard to lose someone so great. I love u Grandpa, your forever in my heart. ~Grandma, I hope in time u will find the guidance you'll need to get through this difficult time. Follow your heart Grandma!! God has always pointed you in the right direction. If u ever need ANYTHING I'm a phone call away. I will be there for u in a heartbeat. I love you Grandma!! ~Aunt Susan, Here's a day we all hope would never come. I know your heart aches for the loss of Grandpa. But he lives with-in you!! He loves you & Dad so very much. You were always there for him & Grandma. Without you who knows how they would of got back n forth to Doctor's & places they wanted to go. You helped keep him stable through all this. You was like his rock. I love u & thank you for that. I can only hope to be just half the person you have become through the years. Your extraordinary & I'm proud to have you apart of my life. We will get through this together!! I love u & grandma very much!!

Gloria and Susan and families: While I was still working at the hospital Marvin would always walk through those doors with a smile on his face and a special hello. Since then at Church he would always have that certain smile and hi! My prayers and thoughts are with you and yours.

My dad, Arlan Trumpp, and I want to express our sympathy to your family in learning of Marvin's passing. We didn't get to see him very often, but my kids have fond memories of growing up and listening to the stories that Marvin and DeWayne used to tell. They still refer to them as the "funny guys." You are in our thoughts.

Our Dad – You are such a wonderful, thoughtful, and generous soul!! You will be extremely missed till we meet once again in heaven. God has picked up an angel that will serve him well as you have done here on earth to everyone that knew you. Definitely, one of a kind, you truly define the word “DAD and all the wonderful things it entails. We’ll always remember your joking, helpfulness, funny orneriness, and all the wonderful things you’ve done for us. It has really meant a lot to us for you just being there for us and for you just being the wonderful person you are!! You have truly done as much in your time here as humanly possible and more. We celebrate the time and memories we share, and they are priceless in our eyes. While a river of tears flows while this is being written, there is comfort in knowing in that you finally reached the top of the stairway to heaven you have climbed from down here on earth. DAD – We know you have a schedule to keep even up there, so we better let you get busy with your good works just as you have done here on earth!!! Keep on riding!!! WE LOVE YOU LOTS AND MISS YOU EVEN MORE!!!! Steve & Tammy
