Cindy and I were sorry to hear of the passing of Robert. He was a fine man of upstanding character and always so pleasant to visit with when we got to know him best at Windsor. Bob worked at Sleeper's Furniture in Iola years ago with Cindy's mother (Betty June Fine) where we both had met him. He was a friend of my dad's (Russell Roy Zornes) over the years also. During the past 3-4 years my dad, Russell, lived next door to Robert there at Windsor. He was always so pleasant and always setting such a good example for all residents. He loved to talk about the "old days" and about fishing! He had a good long productive life and I am sure will be missed by all of his family. He will live on in our memories for many years. I only knew Robert in his later years from various sources in Iola. The last being while he was a resident at Windsor Place. I'll never forget this past Christmas Dinner. Robert was there with his sweet wife,and he was dressed to the nines. He was always so sweet, and such a gentleman. He always had a smile, and a greeting for me if he was there when I came into the building to visit either my Faher-in-law, or later, my Mother-in-law. My sincere sympathies to his wife, children, and extended family, and friends. I know he is resting in God's hands, and that one day his sweet wife will be with him again.

To the Lane Family, Our hearts were sadden at the loss of Mr. Lane he had such a beautiful spirit and welcomed our family with open arms he and Ms.Marybelle were just wonderful to us when we moved to Iola, they both just adopted our family and made all of us feel right at home, and his witty saying and that joyous laugh could be heard all the way to heaven,! mr. lane was one of a kind he use to tell my kids " he say they use to call me dollar$ bill when i was young but now they call me small change " he will be missed by all the lives he has touched. Well done Mr. Lane take your place You earned your wings. God bless your family in your time of sadness and grief. Sincerely Leapheart Family
