We are so very grateful we became friends with Charley and Lucille when we moved to Mildred in 1993. They welcomed us to the community and treated us like family. We mourned Charley in 2001 and missed him dearly. We also mourn the passing of Lucille. She was the kindest and most generous person that we have ever known. God bless her as we were blessed to know her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Gary and JoeAnn Garrison Bonham, Texas

Lucille and Charlie both touched so many lives and brought so many smiles! I remember visiting my Grandma Dorothy and my little sister and I would walk to the store. Lucille would greet us with a huge smile, Charlie would get us an ice cold pop while she filled brown paper bags with candy for us. Then we'd always ask for a story and they'd tell us history of the area followed by a fable usually! Memories I will have forever!

Lucille wa the most loving, caring and true friend anyone could ever have. I knew her for 60 years and never onece did I see her b cruel or unkind to anyone. I remember going to Browns when I was lilittle and I never walked out of there with any less than a hand full of candy that she gave me. Lucille always changed the prices on groceries, I remember her saying thats to much. She loved life, her family, and. Her extended family, all of her customers. Our community suffers a severe loss. We love yu Lucille. Corky Lynes

What a dear sweet lady to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She might give heaven away if Charlie doesn't keep an eye on her. Condolences to the family.
