My sincere condolences to the family of my mom's 1st cousin Alice Tholen. My late Mom was Gloria (Riedl) Marples 1922-2003...eldest daughter of Adolph H Riedl Sr 1894-1977 buried in Wichita. I drove my mom out to Moran KS a couple of times to see Alice...One time...she was briefly gone & I spotted a gentleman on a farm-tractor...and that was one of Alice's sons. I was glad to tell him "I'm your 2nd cousin". ---That was back when Alice & Paul were BOTH still alive. Mom & I then lived in Rose Hill, KS...near Wichita. I try to stay in contact with Sr Philomena Bahr as best I can. Again my sincere condolences...and I hope that the branches of the family will still keep in touch ...somewhat..however..by whatever means..Facebook, e-mail or mail. So very sorry for your loss. Alice was a wonderful neighbor and friend. My mother (Mary luken) thought the world of Paul and Alice. No matter the age it is so very hard to lose your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.
