Obituary of Gerald Pulley
Gerald C. "Jerry" Pulley, Jr., age 47, of Dixon, Missouri, died Saturday, September 5, 2009, at his home from cancer.
Jerry was born November 23, 1961, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Gerald C. and Princess N.R. (Turner) Pulley, Sr. He graduated from Iola High School and joined the United States Army which he made a career out of with the present rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He was a paratrooper and medic and served in the Granada Conflict and the Iraq War. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri when he left active duty and joined the reserves.
On January 3, 2003, Jerry married Kimberley Summerfield and they made their home in Dixon. He also worked for the Pulaski County Ambulance and Coastal International Security. He belonged to and participated in the activities of REACT which is a Pulaski County volunteer organization.

3 Sisters: LaTanya Pulley of Missouri, Melinda Clark of Webb City, Missouri and Yolanda Pulley of Pittsburg, Kansas
1 Grandson & 2 Step-grandsons
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie Jennings.
VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. The Reverend Philip Honeycutt will officiate.
BURIAL: Highland Cemetery in Iola, with military honors
MEMORIAL: Suggested to REACT, a Pulaski County volunteer organization.
Memorials may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is charge of arrangements.
