There are many stories to share. My memories begin in his Roaring Twenties and Bible Literature classes. He attended and played in many of our pick-up basketball games, Indian ball games, and football games. Since 2002 he frequently stopped by my office to discuss various topics. He asked "do you have a minute?" "I have a question or two." Topics ranged from the Kansas Sentencing Guidelines, the Fourth Amendment to current political and legal issues. He also shared many of his heart wrenching experiences as a POW. An hour or so later I had answered most of his questions, and he had inspired me.
