I am very sad to hear of Irene's passing. She was a wonderful lady. She and Curtis were my neighbors for years, and in fact, they bought our house when my dad built our new one down the road. What a cook! I still use her "Irene's Strawberry Dessert" recipe every year around Easter! and have a few more in my cookbook that my mom has shared with me! I was a little girl when we were neighbors, but will always remember how nice she was to me! Brenda Brown Schulte (Jack and Collene Brown's daughter)
