I recently moved back to the KC area after living in Wisconsin for the past 6 years. I never buy a KC Star weekday edition but stopped at a store today and happened to pick up a paper. To my shock, I found Dee's obituary. I've felt strange all day. Not only have I been very sad at the news but a bit shocked that today of all days, I bought a newspaper. Was Dee reaching out to me from somewhere? I worked many years with Dee at Children's Mercy and even though we had lost contact over the past 10 years, I am profoundly affected by the news of her passing. I met Jim a few times through the years when he would pick Dee up at work. I know how devoted they were as a couple. My thoughts are with you Jim and the rest of the family for your loss.
