I came to know Dave in 2011 when I was having hard times and so I joined the National Guard, I was fortunate to meet Dave my 1st day at drill and he was very helpful. He was always willing to give me a hand no matter what I asked.... He was someone that I had a lot in common with and neat-less to say one of the best NCO i have meet... You will be missed and never forgotten...

Burke was a guy's guy. A very upbeat and helpful guy whose great attitude would always help with the monotony of guard weekends. Even though separated from us (Alpha Co) in Iraq, he would always do his best to keep up supplied with the latest gear. I ran into him randomly at a gas station in Topeka a few years back...it was so great to see him. He will be missed.
