Obituary of Judith Arlene Garcia
Judith Arlene Garcia, age 64, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at her home.
Judy was born on December 17, 1950, in Garnett. She and her twin brother, Mike were the eighth and ninth of eleven children born to Flick Marvin and Verna Mae (Demoret) Teter. Judy grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School in 1969. Following school, Judy worked in Ottawa where she met her future husband. Judy was united in marriage to Rodolfo Jimenez Garcia in August of 1970. This union was blessed with three sons. They made their home in Anaheim, California, where Judy worked as a medical biller for an ambulance company. They later divorced. In 1993 Judy moved to Cummings, Georgia to be near her sister, Beverly. Following an injury, in 2003, Judy moved to Garnett, to be near her children and siblings. She enjoyed collecting angels and going to yard sales. Her greatest joy was her time spent with her sons and grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alberta Nadine Teter and two brothers, Kenny Roger Teter and Richard E. Teter.
She is survived by her sons, Rodolfo Marvin "Rudi" Garcia and wife Lori of Kansas City, Missouri; Mario Allen Garcia and wife Esther of Garnett; Jeffrey Adam Garcia of Garnett; five grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica and Jacob Garcia, Ethan and Ashton Garcia; five brothers and two sisters, Leroy Teter and wife, Zella, of Garnett, Beverly Ann Nobles and husband, Frank, of Cummings, Georgia, James E. Teter and wife, Joyce, of Ottawa, Kansas, Bill Teter, twin brother, Mike Teter and wife, Connie, Randy Teter and wife, Debbie, and Mary Garcia and husband, Ramon, all of Garnett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Garnett Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Judy's family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 PM, Monday evening at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett.
