Ross and Jon have been friends for almost 60 years. For many years they raised cattle and farmed together. Always Ross was available to check livestock, water, etc. Ross was a man of few words but always a presence in our lives. We shall miss you, Ross, and cherish precious memories. May you rest in peace.
Sue and family - you are in our thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, Ross will remain forever in our memories. He has left the legacy of a good man.

Ross will always have a special place in my heart and in my memories. Joking with Dad, working the Kincaid Free Fair Lyon's Club hamburger stand, eating pie at the family reunion, helping work cattle or just shooting the breeze, Ross is there. One particular instance when I was a kid, I was helping work cattle at the farm when I caught my knee on a barb wire fence. I stumbled out of the brush looking for my dad and found Ross. Seeing my torn up knee, he quietly got out his first aid kit, broke open the idodine and patched me up with all the care of a certified nurse. The memory of that gruff, tan man in his gas service grey shirt, badaging my knee with care is one that brings a smile to my face whenever I see that tiny scar on my knee.
I will greatly miss that quiet, tan man with a heart of gold. My deepest sympathies to Sue and his family.

I always found Ross's humor and dry Witt to be refreshing Ross and I shared many lunches at Charlie Brown's and our politics were pretty much the same. I wish to thank Ross's niece for the countless hours that she spent with him in the hospital and keeping me up to speed almost every day or two .I would like to extend my deepest sympathy sue atchison and all who knew ross
Ross was my friend. And he always will be.

I worked with Ross for many years. He was a kind man that inspired me to always do my best. We spent many hours working out[karate] together, and Ross would always talk about his wife Sue and the love he had for her. He truly will be missed.

Ross was and always will be a big chapter in my book of life. I've known him since my dad first brought me to the farm. He was an interesting man with a very stout set of principles by which he lived. Treasuring his friendships, whether it be man or mutt, gave him a wrinkly smile I can still picture as if he were sitting with my dad in the sale barn today.
I may not have always agreed with Rosco, and we're definitely different men with different opinions, but I respect who he was as a person. He had a big impact on how I sculpt myself today.
I know in my heart of hearts he is kicking back with a good book petting one of a lifetime of furry friends, waiting for those he left behind to join him.
God bless.

I will always remember Ross. He was a part of my family, for as long as I can remember. My dad’s friend who was always at the farm, both of them wearing those gray Gas Service shirts. You could just sit back and listen to them, argue back and forth about anything under the sun. It was always entertaining and definitely a friendship that grew over many years. I will remember Ross’s smile and his greeting us with “How’d Jon have such pretty girls?” (You always loved to hear that!) Oh, and the dogs! Dad would tease that people would drop off their dogs near Ross’s because they knew he’d take care of them. Spoiled them, as they should be.. of course. Lots and lots of memories of Ross, he will be greatly missed.
