(continued from Fred Thornbrugh) To me,my mother was perfect... but you see, perfection is not a polished thing. It is something that is sincerely meant. Perfection is what we discover in one another reflected back, and if perfection alludes us, it doesn't matter, for what we have in the moment, is enough.

The departure of life eclipes everything When a death is good the room is filled with peace and all the pain that went before is forgotten. Where there is mystery, there is knowledge when there was fear, there is love. My friend Bonnie told me that my parents got the golden ticket... and yes, they did!! They loved one another completely, they never contradicted one another, never fought in front of me and they fulfilled their marriage vows! I learned something new about my mother last night from some of her friends who came to pay respect for her life. I learned that I am more like her than I thought. Celebrating the moment came naturally to her and idle gossip was not her way.... I on the other hand have been know to do otherwise! I've come to think that heaven is a place in the memory of others, where all our best selves live on. Yes, she had opinions, but they were not imposing or commanding nor arresting in anyway. Paul, You may not remember me but I am Robert Meliza and was Secretary of Delphian Lodge for 12 years. Was saddened to hear of the loss of Freda. Your marriage was a good example for all of us as 74 years is a long time.. Franque & I just celebrated our 52 Anniversary in Feb. Take care Brother Paul and God Bless you and your family.
