So sorry for your loss.
I recall playing at the Hedges home as a young man and one of my fondest childhood memories was snowball fights with Lance and Kyle.
I've lost track of the family in recent years but always followed Dick's articles on the family in the Ft. Scott Tribune.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of such a great person. I met Lance and his wonderful family when I was the Pastor at his church, the Garnett United Methodist Church. Lance was first and foremost a man of faith who made his faith a big part of the way he led his life. Lance was an all American father, husband and member of the church and his community. Seeing Lance and his family (wonderful, wonderful children) in church was a great joy for me and I know for his Savior (in whose arms he now rests).

Stacey and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like you have a great husband and dad to remember. Yesterday, we were singing a hymn and the 3rd verse seems to be a perfect fit for this time.
"Victory In Jesus"
I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory.
Praying for you

Dear Stacey, Cale, Remi, and Riley,
I am so very sorry for your loss. At this time, these are just words to you. In time, they will have meaning. Knowing that others care about you and share in your loss will help you through this.
As people of faith, we are told God has a plan. We don't know His plan, and right now, His plan STINKS! BUT, there is one thing I am sure of...Stacey, your husband, and Cale, Remi, and Riley, your Dad, is in a place where he will be with you every minute of everyday, and he will send you signs. Be ready to accept them!
You will be in my daily prayer as you travel this difficult journey. Heaven is a better place now that it has Lance Hedges!
