I will miss his laugh. Lester and Sherry taught me a lot about dealing with people and hard work. They never really received the recognition they deserved for investing their money, equity, heart and soul in bringing one of the best restaurants and private clubs this community has ever had. No one has been able to match such an undertaking successfully since. And what a great employer and job creator with all of their ventures. How lucky was I to beg for a job back in 1980 and get it. The Burris' and employees were like family to me and I cherish the memories always. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sherry, and to Jeff, Debbie and family. Lester was a tough yet tender hearted man, and we are all better people because he had a hand in shaping who we are. God bless you and give you comfort.
