Obituary of Madonna D. Kline
Madonna Diann Kline, age 71, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care in Garnett, Kansas.
She was born on March 22, 1943, at Centerville, Kansas, the daughter of Estell Maurice and Olive Ida (Logan) Kline. She attended Centerville Grade School and Parker Rural High School.
On August 26, 1960, she married Kenneth Allen Magers. They were later divorced.
Madonna worked as a checker for Weaver's Grocery Store in Osawatomie and Crown Drugstores in Shawnee Mission. She also did clerical work for the SRS office in Garnett, the State Hospital in Osawatomie, Pyramid Life Insurance and Foremost Insurance Companies in Shawnee Mission, and Wheeling Corrugating Company of Lenexa.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, sewing, playing the harmonica and concertina. She also enjoyed attending live music performances at the Starlight Theater and the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
Madonna was preceded in death by her father and two children, Danny Stewart and Charlotte Renae', both of whom died in infancy.
Survivors include her mother, Olive Kline, and her brother, Paul and wife, Shirley, of Garnett; two nieces and their families, aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.
