Just thinking. A nearby tragedy reminded me of many that I knew that are now gone. Hopefully, we will all see each other again. I don't know. Knowing Don and Dad and others makes me proud to be a Kansan. A special breed. I don't want to get political an deflect. I knew Don from when I was a baby and as I said in his funeral post, "He is one of my favorite people on the planet". That has not changed. I miss him and wish I could listen to him tell a story one more time.

I'm afraid I ran them out of space on my condolences. Those that know me, know that I don't care. Don and Judy Wiley were very special people to me my entire life. I don't remember not knowing them. I am thankful.
For Diana, Rick, Patty, Karen, and Kathy. I believe you already know how I feel. I hope you find comfort in each other and in your beliefs during this final chapter of a wonderful story. If you are ever in Topeka, feel free to stop by. You are welcome in my house anytime.
I will see you all Thursday. Hopefully, I will see you after that. Take care of each other.

What can I say? Don Wiley was one of my favorite people on the planet. The Kansas grit and the silliness was quite a combination. I think it is sad, but fitting that he and Judy have left this side so close together. As much as I cared for both of them as individuals, what was Don without Judy or Judy without Don? I loved the way Don would intentionally annoy Judy and I believe she did, too.
I am grateful and blessed to have known them and for so long. I am also grateful to have known their kids, if for a shorter time. We mostly see each other at funerals these days. Such is life.
The last time I saw Don was at my sisters funeral. I was explaining to my family who I didn't know at the Mont Ida Church of the Brethren. I looked up and saw Don in his wheelchair across the room and said too loudly, "I know that guy!" Don had seen me and his face lit up. I can't tell you how good it felt to see him again.
A wonderful era in my life has ended.

I just visited with Don several weeks ago and he was so spry and funny. He will be missed greatly. It was a pleasure knowing him and Judy. They are together again, may you find comfort in that. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Don was such a kidder! When he and Rick would stop by the Extension office he always had a couple of jokes to tell or to play on us. I know he will be missed. I just see him now pulling some pranks on those in heaven! My prayers are for your family.

I went by Guest Home Estates on Friday morning to stop and see Don but there were so many cars that there was no room for me to park close. I went on by. Don's passing explains all the cars being there. Our sympathy and thoughts are with you and the rest of your family. We enjoyed having them as neighbors when they lived across the side walk from us.

Karen, I am so sorry to hear that your dad has died. Your mother died not too long ago. Your family has been hit hard. You are too young to have lost your folks, but no matter how old you are you always miss them. Ken and I send our deepest sympathy to you. Please come to Wichita soon and let me have Abbie for the day. - Angie
