Dale was a character and a friend. He always had the time to talk when I showed up be it day or night. Although he wasn't fond of the smell of nail polish, banished us to the bathroom when we painted our nails. I will miss you my friend. Margaret and family I am so truly sorry for your loss. If you need anything even further down the road please let me know.

I have so many memories of Uncle Dale. He taught me the "F" word....let's face it, I would have learned it eventually. I loved his bib overhauls. He told me he carried a small pistol in the pocket - I still believe that he did. I loved his stories - they were so funny. I love that he was a good husband, father and grandfather. To Aunt Margaret, Crystal, Michael, Reasa and Bodie - I'm so sorry I can't be there with you - to tell you all that I love you and to hug you! You're all in my thoughts and prayers! Uncle Dale - you'll be in my heart forever! P.S. Give my grandpa a huge hug from me. I love you both!

hey Big guy, I never got you the goat or the chicken but you let me have the most precious thing in the world, you made her honery, just what I needed and didn't think I'd ever be the one in check but now I am, and just like the time you caught me doing the dishes and called me a housebitch but still I never had a father in law or mother in law that accepted me like you guys. Just know I'm in this till the end my friend. very much enjoyed all the knowledge you gave me about your past that gave me guidance for my future-housebitch

I first met Dale and family when I moved to Colony many years ago. Being around him and his family, there was never a dull moment. He was one of the sweetest funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Always had a kind word, always willing to help out whenever you needed it.
I sit here crying and can only remember all the good times. He was definitely one of a kind. All of the family is in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
Gonna miss you bunches big guy. But will always have you in my heart.

My memories of my Dad flood my heart and overflow these past few days. They are too numerous to mention. All I know he made me what I am today. It is hard to be strong without my Dad, but I have to. The unconditional love he has given us kids will carry on for generations, just look at all his grandbabies. Dad and Mom have a love so strong and true and faitful, it will carry on forever. he taught us young that we had to work hard to make it in the world. Thanks for every piece of firewood he made us carry. Thanks Dad for catechism and first communion, for showing us how awesome camping was and for those ever-so-long nights at te river watching poles that I never-ever thougt would move. Thanks for pushing me through nursing scool, I wouldn't be a nurse today witout you, and for being there everyday of my girls life, you were their caregiver, teacers, and favorite person to be with. You are my hero Dad. I will miss you everyday, as will the girls. I know you are witout pain and can breathe. I know God will take care of you and you have Grandma and your brothers to keep you company until we come to be with you. I love you Dad. We will take care of Mom for you, God knows you took such good care of her Thank You dad.

Uncle Dale - what can I say… You are one of a kind. I can remember as a kid when you took me back to Minonk for the summer - you taught Bodi and me that a Blue Moon was not just a song and you let us stay up to watch it while you sang the song on your front porch. I also remember the club house in your back yard (or should I say - mansion :o). As far as I was concerned, you built that thing out of gold. I will never forget when you all moved to Colony, KS - We worked our tails off moving you but knew it would be worth it to have you, Aunt Margaret and kids so close finally - I thought we were the luckiest people in the family to have you so close to us. I also remember the times you would give me words of encouragement when I would be dealing with my burn issues (you taught me that no matter what was on the outside - you can be beautiful within) I WILL ALWAYS HOLD YOU IN MY HEART!!! When you see my dad in heaven, give him a big hug for me then give him a hard time. Have fun up in heaven while you wait for the rest of us to arrive. See you soon Uncle Dale.

the memories that i have of my dad would be going fishing, cooking out, taking Gordon up late in the evening and staying to watch movies with him. I put him thru hell as a child but grew to love and adore as a father. He was my best friend and will always be my best friend.
