I have great memories of Albert Hermann. I grew up with this wonderful man's influence and guidance... in boy scouts and playing basketball at the armory and at Holy Angels. He always had a caring smile and kind guidance (sometimes with discipline, which I am grateful for today). I remember this man among men with warmth, respect, and honor and I am grateful Albert Hermann was in my life.

Lonnie,
One is often measured by the life he led, and the lives he touched. Your father was obviously a great man, apparent not only in your upbringing and reflection of him, but with so many who grieve with you in his honor. My family sends prayers and condolences to your family, my friend.

I have many fond memories of Albert during our crime fighting days on the Police Department.
R10 and R14 spent a lot of time in the squad car and at ball games during our twenty plus years, he was truly a fine person and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

One of the great things about Albert was that he made us all feel like one of his sons. His legacy is carried on by all those he touched and you can see that his positive attitude carries on in those he mentored. Thank you for the memories Albert. We will miss you and try to always make you proud.

I did NOT know Albert but read of his passing on the KSRA e-mail. His obituary reveals he was a real American. If more were like him we would not now be engaged in many efforts of which he was a part. Thanking the family for sharing his life. I'm sure he will be missed by many.
Kindest regards,
Larry

We were saddened to hear of Albert's illness and was praying he could beat it. That's a tough one though but wanted you to know that he and you all are in out thoughts and prayers.
He made my job easier. With all his experience as a 1st Sergeant, I never worried about Service Battery. Between he and the other senior NCOs in the unit and because of their expertise, I could concentrate on the other units more. He was a good soldier and was a definite asset to the 127th Field Artillery and The Kansas Army National Guard. I won't be able to make it up due to already scheduled conflicts in Olathe and here in Pittsburg but we'll be thinking of you.

Albert Herman was a true warrior and we are all blessed by his skill and spirit that still lives on in those he mentored and those he loved. I have never met him but now wish I had but I read his memorial and if I could only be half that man that friends and family spoke so well of them I would be content. as a veteran I salute him and wish him the best on his new journeys of the other side. May his spirit live on in his friends and family. I Salute Him.

The world is a little more somber a place tonight. Albert was always the heart of the family reunions. When I telephoned both my Daughter Susan and my friend Carol with the news, the first way they remembered Him was as the Nice Man with all the pictures and stories. The warmth of his spirit was infectious. While we are all grieved at our loss, tonight,in Heaven, I'm sure Albert and Red Skeleton are swapping tales.

John, I am saddened to hear of you and your family's loss. I know what it's like to lose a dad. Just know that the community that knew him will always remind you of the good memories they have of your dad. It happens for me on a daily basis, and my dad has been gone 6 years. And be assured that time will ease the pain and grief you and your family are experiencing. I pray that God will give your family a peace beyond your understanding.

Al was a great champion for the KSRA. He was our Youth Activities Director and served on the board for many years. He was an intricate part of the KSRA landscape. Al managed the Camp Mary Dell youth camp that KSRA sponsors each year and he absolutely loved teaching those kids.
I am very sad at the loss of a great guy who was always of good humor and who had a compassionate and caring heart. KSRA has lost a wonderful soul and partner in our mission.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
God Bless,
Patricia Stoneking
