Jack & I send our condolences to the Dale Lybarger family. We have not lived in Garnett for over 40 years but fondly remember Dale with the Garnett Jaycees and the days of the go-cart races. It was a great organization and a good way to get acquainted with the community. So glad to hear Dale has been so active in community affairs particularly with the Anderson County Hospital.
May God provide peace and comfort to all the family as you mourn Dale's passing. We are thankful Bill & Mernie notified us. They are a beautiful family and I am sure they are providing a lot of support to Betty & Dave.
With Sympathy, Jack & Kay

I can truly say I have never met anyone whom I admire and respect more than I do Dale. He was a man who led by example and left behind a rich legacy of improvement from all of his works. Among these works, I'd like to especially spotlight the outstanding contributions he has made to the Anderson County Hospital through service on the Board of Directors, Board of Trustees and Board of the ACH Foundation. He has been tireless and inspirational in his stewardship and leadership.

My best memory is me griping about 6 men sleeping in the same small room in Waveland,Misssissippi.
HE looked at me with a big grin and said, "Rule #1 is no whining. I never mentioned it again.

It is my privilege to know Dale, if only for a short time. It seems to be that he was the best kind of Community Leader -- one that leads by example. Dale was, and still is an inspiration to many, me included. It was just yesterday, it seems, that I got the "$2 tour" of the renovated Hospital courtyard and witnessed the many blessings he bestowed.
God Bless all of the family.

On a visit to Garnett a few years ago, I borrowed one of the Schulte's bikes and rode to Welda. I didn't take enough water and was fortunate to meet Dale on the trail and he shared some of his water with me. That was typical of his kindness and I remember him very fondly and hope that God will comfort all his many friends and especially his family in this time of grievous loss.

I have always considered Dale to be one of my Mentors. Shortly after moving to Garnett in 1991 I became acquainted with Dale through various community organizations. It has been one of my goals to model my own life after someone so unselfish and humble. I will miss Dale as will many others but I look forward to seeing him again when I too reach the gates of heaven. I consider it a priveledge to have known him in our earthly roles. Our sympathies go out to his family in this time of mourning.

It is so hard to say goodbye to someone who has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. Whenever I saw him, I got a huge hug and a Hi! sis. I know he is in a safe and beautiful place and has probably already seen mom and dad and maybe shook grandma's hand as he did at her 90th birthday party. I was just looking at that picture last week. I will miss him more than words can say. Bye my friend and brother Dale
