Leon Benjamin is my all-time favorite uncle. He is loved by me, my husband, Vernon, and my daughters, Susanna and Mary. He will be remembered for many things. My visits to Garnett as a child. His decorated gourds. His popcorn! There are a lot of people in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania who have enjoyed "Uncle Leon's Kansas Popcorn". Many of them swear it tasted different from regular popcorn! He read my husband's books. He left the farm to attend our wedding in Parsons! The list could go on and on, and he will be remembered as long as I live and my children live. We love you Aunt Dorothy and wish we could be there with you now, but as you know circumstances keep us here in Maryland.
