Obituary of Floyd McNutt

Floyd Leon McNutt, age 78, of Colony, Kansas, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Richmond Care Center, Richmond, Kansas. He was born September 16, 1929 at Bay, Arkansas, the son of Fred and Ruby (Brown) McNutt. Floyd grew up in the Bay, Arkansas area before moving to Kansas City, Kansas in 1951. Floyd married Essie (Shannon) on November 8, 1950 at Burr Oak, Arkansas. This union was blessed with two children, Steven and Connie. He worked as a machine operator for Lock Joint in Kansas City, Kansas for over twenty years. After moving to Colony, Kansas he worked as a pumper for Russell Petroleum in the oil fields. He loved to crappie fishing, trap shooting, hunting and was an all around sportsman. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruby McNutt; and two sisters, Geneva Woolbrite and Louise Wyrick. He is survived by his wife, Essie of Colony, Kansas; one son, Steven McNutt of Colony, Kansas; one daughter, Connie Gamberel and husband Bob of Richmond, Kansas; one brother, Don McNutt and wife Leslie of Lindsey, Oklahoma; one sister, Barb Bobo and husband Jim of Monroe Center, Illinois; five grandchildren, Robby Gamberel; Brian Gamberel; Jennifer Fuller, Josh McNutt; and Zack McNutt; four great grandchildren; Kagen Gamberel; Kinlee Gamberel; Wesley Gamberel; and Madison McNutt.
