Edna Garrison, age 79, of Garnett, Kansas, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Anderson County Long Term Care Facility, Garnett, Kansas. She was born on March 7, 1928 to Edward and Lona (McCrab) Pickert at Garnett, Kansas. She lived most of her life in Anderson and Franklin Counties. She attended schools in Garnett and Lawrence, later moving to Council Grove for a short time. She moved back to Ottawa, Kansas and worked for Pence IGA, transferred to Pence Grocers in Garnett in the meat department. Edna also worked at A. & P. Grocery in Garnett. She also worked for Page and Galey as a meat wrapper. She quit her job to care for her grandmother; she also cared for her stepfather and her mother. She married William Garrison at Iola, Kansas on February 11, 1966. He survives her of the home. She is also survived by many friends and relatives. Edna was preceded in death by her dad and stepmother, Edward and Monita Pickert; her stepfather and mother, Earl and Lona Farrow. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December, 29, 2007 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Garnett, with Chaplain Matt Benorden officiating. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Shriners Burn Unit.
