John Wesley Whitcomb, age 95, of Kincaid died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS. Mr. Whitcomb was born June 4, 1912 at Xenia, KS the son of the late Charles Robert and the late Atha (Limes) Whitcomb. He married Ruth Ann Demott September 6, 1940 at Paola, Kansas. He is survived by his wife: Ruth Ann (Demott) Whitcomb, one daughter: Patricia Durand of Kincaid, KS and one son: Doug Whitcomb of Moran, KS; Four Grandchildren and Sixteen Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers; three sisters; and one grandson, Stephen Whitcomb Calling hours will be Monday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 219 S. Oak P.O. Box 408, Garnett, KS. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 at Kincaid-Selma United Methodist Church, 110 N. Preston, Kincaid with Lloyd Houk officiating. Burial will be in Kincaid Cemetery, Kincaid on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to Kincaid Fair Association.
