Dear Dennis, Mary, & Family, I'm so very sorry to learn about Josh's passing. I will always remember Josh fondly as the carefree boy he was in 6th grade. His smile was contagious and he certainly liked to have fun in class (w/in reason!). I remember he especially excelled during a gymnastics unit that Mrs. Linton was teaching in PE. I feel fortunate that Josh's and my paths crossed briefly when we were both working in Holton and at that time, I was able to tell him how much I enjoyed having him as my student. Josh was certainly taken from us too soon and I know he'll be missed by many people. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. Sincerely, Kathy (Maki) Cooney

I will so miss your fantastically schwazzy polyster button up shirts and your bright energy in the room. he left me with so many smiles when I think of him and his sense of humor. He will never be forgotten and he had a great sense of humor that at times left you to wonder if he was serious of if it was a joke. Most of the times it was joke and would make you laugh so hard. He was so kind and loved everyone and everything Josh touched my life and made it so much better THANK YOU JOSH!!!! with much love and great memories you will never be forgotten

Josh and I were born on the same day. In school, we would always go out of our way to make a big expression out of wishing the other a happy birthday - it was a big of a contest to see who could be more dramatic....I often lost. I was lucky then to have Josh as a friend, and I'm lucky now for the memories. My thoughts are with his family and close friends. It is a sincere loss for everyone.

Though we lost touch after high school ended, Josh was a big part of my life from sixth grade through the end of high school.
