Opal----you know you and Earl
have always had a special place in my heart from the time I came to Garnett to live back in 1957......will miss Earl a lot----remember times when I'd spend the night with Terry and I always thought how lucky she was to have a dad like him---I wanted a dad just like him too......you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

It's amazing how in a small town like this a person can have an impact on multiple generations. Earl was very special to my mom (Betty) and although I really didn't know him he also has a special place in my daughter's heart (Kayla). She will miss his regular visits to the Dairy Queen. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We never had the chance to meet Mr. Meyers but I know that if he was anything like his daughter Laurel, he was a well loved man.
The will of God will never take you, where the Grace of God will not protect you,

Cara Sue,
I know we haven't spoken in a number of years but mom has always kept me up on your mom and dad. She has enjoyed seeing you at church with them. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I can remember playing at your house when I was little and your mom and dad being so nice. I am so sorry for your loss. And as mom said I am sure my grand parents, Elmon and Mildred, were there waiting on your dads' arrival. With sympathy,
Shanna Mead

I did not know Earl Meyers however have been blessed by knowing his daughter Laural. If Laural learned and became the person she is today because of her dad then he must have been an awesome guy! Knowing Laural has made me a better person. She has touched my life many times - so thus, Earl has touched my life in an indirect way by being Laural's father. May the family find a bond at this time that strengthens them to get through this difficult time.

I can vividly see Earl coming up the courthouse steps after work in his City uniform. He was such a sweet man, plain and simple and very well respected by all of us who knew him. A good man who loved his family and his Lord Jesus with all his heart. Our sympathies to all of you, I'm sure Earl will rest in peace. Take care.

Dear Opal & family-
I first met you both at 'Yesterdays' sunday school breakfast. As usual, I was cracking wise. When I saw Earl's smile, I just floated. Then I got to know you and learned that you both loved my best friend. I am blessed for knowing Pop and will think of him often.

Tobias B. Yoder posted a condolence
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Earl. On May 31, 1947, the Meyers and Yoder families met for the first time. The occasion was the births of your Sheryl and our Karen. The setting was the maternity ward in the upstairs of Dr. White's hospital in Garnett, KS. Although we haven't been in touch very often in later years, we still have fond memories of those earlier years when our families got together once-in-awhile. Our thoughts continue to be with you during this time of adjustment. Sincerely, Tobias B. Yoder and daughters Karen, Patsy, and Linda
