Travis, I never got to know you as well as I would have liked, but in the time I did know you I had a blast. Travis was always smiling no matter what the situation, he had one of those personalities that made it very easy to like him. I'll miss you friend. To his family: I can't even pretend to know what it's like to be in your situation, but I will be praying for you all, I know Travis is in a much better place now, and I can't wait to see his smiling face when we see him in Heaven. The Hass family loves you Travis!
Travis was a sweet, giving, loving man. My kids were drawn to him and he was always polite, kind, friendly, and fun to be around. We will miss him and the blessing he was to our lives.
When we were in S. Korea teaching ESL we visited Seoul. Walking down the usual crowded street we lost Travis for a few minutes. When he found his way back to the group he said nothing. We later learned that he had seen a man on the street who had no coat. Travis took his off and gave it to the man because he was shivering. That is the Travis I will always carry in my heart.
I was telling my husband yesterday about taking the class Mime & Stage Movement with Travis. I'll never forget Travis' ability to convincingly mime riding a bicycle, hitting a rock, and flipping forward over the handlebars. His heart for Scripture memorization increased my respect for him. Family and friends - know that I am praying for you!

I mainly knew Travis through work and ESULA in Emporia. He always had a smile on his face and was always looking out for his friends I hope he finds peace.

I only met Travis two times, but was impressed with his kindness. He was a dear friend of my best friend, Debbi and my thots and prayers are with her and the girls. My thots and prayers are with his family also, even tho I don't know them. May he rest in peace.
Travis was my friend from high school. I have several memorier of him but one of my favorites was Prom Senior yr we all had alot of fun that night. Travis was one of the nicest people I knew, like most people we lost contact after high school. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He will be missed!

Travis was a good person throughout my yrs with him in high school, a good friend. But like others we lost touch. My prays n thoughts are with his family.
To Travis' family and friends-I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Travis and I were grade school friends. He was always so nice to everyone. Probably one of the kindest people I've known. Though we lost touch over the years, he will never be forgotten.

I am still in shock after hearing the news today. The world has lost a valuable and bright individual. I helped to supervise Travis at the ESU Library and had him in class too. He was a joy to be around and a hard worker. I will not be able to make it to the services, but please know that my prayers and thoughts are with his family. Travis will be missed. I cared for him a great deal and am sorry that he is gone.

This has been heartbreaking. Travis had such a light and was always the most enjoyable company. I will carry fond memories of the time we spent together as kids. I know that he is at peace now, but he and the rest of the family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
As I write this still in disbelief this has happened I must express my thoughts on Travis. Most of the good memories I have from my childhood always included Travis. Travis was a great friend and i'm going to miss him more than I can express. My heart is with Pam,Tyler and family during this tragic day.
Travis was different. He didn't judge people or hold them to impossible standards. He just accepted everyone and found the good in even the most difficult people. I wish I had made more of an effort to know and stay close to him.
We were blessed to have Travis as part of the Kansas Talking Book team for a time. He was such a kind, caring person. Our hearts go out to family and friends in this loss of a very special person. Rest in Peace, Travis
To Travis's family -- I had the opportunity to know Travis through his student involvement in an ESU organization I advised, ESULA. I'll never forget his excitement about the trip, and his enthusiasm in general. I just lost my mother suddenly in early August; I grieve with you and an unexpected loss is the most difficult. My prayers to your family.
Travis you were such a good person and hard worker for me in the library at ESU. I will surely miss you. We had such great conversations while you worked here. To the family of Travis, he was a wonderful hard working guy. I enjoyed him immensely and I am so sorry for your loss.
