Thinking of you all in your time of loss. Grandma Wagoner was almost 100 when she passed and I am thankful for all the time we had with her. I know you kids must have really enjoyed all the interesting stories your Grandma had to share and the good times will always be remembered. She is now your guardian angel.
We always looked forward to the birthday visits with aunt Gertude. I recall visits with Gertrude when she was in Nevada,Mo. Surrounded by her many pictures of family, I was always amazed at how she recalled every name in the dozens of family photos. Family definitely meant so much to her. Milton T. Rawlings
Aunt Gertrude was always a pistol! She was sharp witted and one of my regrets is I didn't continue to see her as I grew up! I know my father, Milton E. Rawlings wishes he could make the trip to the funeral, but his age and health prohibit it.
Where do I start, Gertrude was light in everyones eyes here at Golden Heights. At meal time she would tap her spoon on her coffee cup when she was ready for coffee, she would knock on the wall to let everyone know that she was ready to get up and it didn't matter what time of day it was. I had the privilege of taking her "100th" birthday pictures. I enjoyed every minute of it. She will be greatly missed around here and if and when I hear a "tap" on a coffee cup or a "knock" on the wall I will think of Gertrude. May Gertrude have Angel Wings now. She's at Peace.
So sorry to hear of Grandma Gertrude's passing. I always enjoyed visiting with her when my class visited the nursing home. Your family is in my heart and prayers.
