Skinny was a good man and such a good friend to our Dad, Jack
Bennett.Lots of old memories of hunting and rodeoing, and Skinny and Dad always found a way to get into some kind of trouble. I know a man's character can be judged by how he treats his dogs, and Skinny loved his dogs and horses a great deal. He was a swell guy, and while I know his passing will be hard for his family, surely they can take Comfort that he had a good and long life. Our Prayers and thoughts go out to all Skinny's family. I have so many memories of Uncle Skinny and my dad Earl Dean Hunsaker going to cattle auctions together, and of course the time when they had calves get away from them at Lawrence.
And the many rodeos we went to as kids. Even many years later we would go to rodeos and hear the men talking about Skinny being the best steer wrestler around.
I made sure my grand kids met their Great Great Great Uncle Skinny and he made sure he showed them the belt buckle he was presented to by Harry Truman back in 1959.
I will miss Uncle Skinny he was the Greatest Uncle ever.

Having been crazy about horses and anything and everyone connected to horses, I was thrilled on a couple of occasions when I was around 12 - 13 years old to be allowed to attend a rodeo or two with my friend, Charlotte, and once to even be allowed to ride one of Skinny's horses in the grand entry. An act of kindness that has never been forgotten. My condolences to the family.
