WHERE DO I START? LEITCH, LAURIE, ALICIA, ALEX, & OUR FAMILY DID MANY THINGS TOGETHER IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. FROM GOING CAMPING, CANOEING, AND SMOKING A FEAST FOR WHOEVER WOULD SHOW UP AT OUR HOUSE OR THEIRS. LEITCH ALWAYS HAD A HUG FOR MY CHILDREN & I WHENEVER WE SEEN HIM. HE TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN TELLING MANY PEOPLE THAT HE "HAD OUR BACKS" AND WE ALWAYS KNEW THAT IF ANY OF US NEEDED HIM THAT HE WOULD BE THERE FOR US. LEITCH & OUR DAUGHTER HAD A GREAT BOND. SHE WAS "HIS GIRL" AND HE HAD A TALK WITH HER BOYFRIEND. THE FATHER TALK. COURTNEY LOVED LEITCH AND THE BOND THEY HAD. OUR SON WOULD STOP BY WHILE OUT HUNTING JUST GIVE HIM CRAP. WHICH LEITCH LOVED, AND WOULD GIVE RIGHT BACK TO COREY. THE MOST FUN I THINK WE HAD WAS OUR CANOE TRIPS. HE HAD WENT WITH US THE LAST TWO YEARS. HE ALWAYS HAD WORDS OF WIDSOM TO GIVE ALL OF US JUST HOW TO CANOE AND TIE OUR COOLERS IN. I SPENT MANY SUNDAY AFTERNOONS WITH HIM SITTING AT THE PICNIC TABLE YES DRINKING BEER. WE WOULD TALK ABOUT HIS MOM, MIKE, BRAD AND DOC. HE LOVED ALL OF YOU SO MUCH AND AS WELL AS LAURIE JO. THEY HAD SOMETHING THAT MANY COUPLES WISH FOR. THEY HAD THE SAME INTEREST, HOBBIES, AND ENJOYED EACHOTHERS COMPANY. KNOW THAT THE PATTERSON'S WILL ALWAYS BE A PHONE CALL AWAY IF ANYONE NEEDS ANYTHING.

I am so sorry for your loss. David and I went all through school together. I remember birthday parties in you basement on Cedar. I remember David and I playing on the basement of your house by the cemetery before the house was built. We kind of drifted apart in high school with differing interests and friends.
I was working out in Garden City in the early 1990's. I went to this bar and grill to watch the KU basketball game. On the other side of this partition I heard this loud voice that I most definitely recognized. Sure enough it was David. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
