Gwendolyn B. "Mom" Vogt, age 55, of Garnett, Kansas passed away December 19, 2011 at the St. Luke's South Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. Gwen was born in Wichita, Kansas on December 12, 1956 the daughter of Charlie and Katie Mae (Hampton) Fishback. She grew up in Wichita, attending school there. She lived in Iola, Kansas in the early 1980's, in 1986 she moved to Hutchinson, Kansas before moving her family to Kincaid, Kansas in 1994 to help care for her father. She has lived in Garnett since 1998. Gwen loved to sing and she especially cherished all of the times she was able to get her friends and family together. She also enjoyed teaching small children and to share the bible with anyone that was open to listen. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gwen is survived by her three sons, Georgio Fishback of Garnett, William Fishback of Lansing, Kansas, and Nathan Fishback of Garnett; 8 grandchildren, Navara, Farathel, Charlie, Tiena, William Jr., Jacob, and Corbin Fishback, and Tyler Coulter; 4 brothers, Sam Dowling of Wichita, Kansas, John Fishback of Andover, Kansas, Henry Fishback of California, Ronald Fishback of Iola, Kansas; 8 sisters, Charline Fishback of Clinton, Oklahoma; Jean Steele of Wichita, Kansas, Idessa Hawkins of Marrero, Louisiana, Isabell Pliler of Iola, Kansas, Sandra Eisenbrandt of Fort Scott, Kansas, Arma Bresee of Hawaii, Jessie Hanes of Hawaii, Brenda York of Pittsburg, Kansas. Memorial service and viewing will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, Kansas. The family will greet friends following the service.
