Since I was friends with Chris in Jr. High & Highschool, I was a fixture in the McGhee house. While sneaking 'lime pickles' out of the frig, Perry would come through and grab a handful of raw hamburger that was sitting out and pop it in his mouth with such great joy. I don't know if the joy was in grossing me out or true enjoyment of the flavor. Celebrate his life, you know he did. Love, Patty

Perry was indeed a fixture at our bait and gun shop. Every day he would be there with his jean shorts, and his plaid shirt with the sleeves cut out. He was a great friend to us and we enjoyed every minute that he was with us. We will miss you, dear friend. Om & Jude

Perry came to my shop most mornings with a cup of coffee. I don't think there was a subject we didn't discuss. I will never forget the huge yellow banner announcing my 50th birthday over 13 highway for everyone to see. He made sure I couldn't reach it.
I will remember Perry for his slight bit of mischief but mostly for his dedication to his family and friends. I will miss my dear friend, Perry. My condolences to his cherished family.

I also remember the card parties as it was the weekend and all us cousins couldn't wait to get together too. Playing ping pong, pool, hide and go seek. We always hated for the night to end. Then ther was the camping...mini bikes and 3 wheelers the weekends weren't long enough. The younger days we had what I now refer to as "garden parties". Picking, stemming, and snapping beans were only a few of the gardening chores we had. Uncle Perry you will be greatly missed you always knew how to bring a smile to my face and laughter from my mouth.

Pat and kids: After indirectly joining the McGhee family, I will always remember the weekends at the pool, softball etc at Barb & Dales. The Lenexa 4th of July party & fireworks. Of Perry being so sure of his opinions and truly a good guy to
Debbie, Jennifer and me. Be proud of your husband and dad and Perry RIP.

So many ways to remember Perry, from the Friday night card parties to the weekend camping and fishing trips. What fun we had around the campfire! My personal favorite though was his daily phone calls to share family news and gossip with us stay-at-home moms at the time. Perry was our "facebook".
