My God, I have been looking for Pearl since before Christmas, when we talked on the phone together. I met her through Elizabeth McDonald and Doris Payne (the latter who, to my horror, passed away in February without my knowledge). My children and I visited Pearl at Park Plaza and she was so delightful. One day we called to stop by, and she said she had a cold but would love a visit and would call us when she got better. We never got that call. I hope she received the pictures in the mail that my children drew for her. I am so sorry and so sad I missed her funeral. I have looked for her and couldn't find her. I didn't know. I am sorry for your loss... and mine.

Kent and George; we never had the pleasure of meeting your Mom but are sure that she was a fine lady; after all, look at the son she raised. Be assured that your Mom's spirit and soul will be with you always; all you have to do is invoke the many pleasant memories of those times you shared with her on this earth. She'll be looking over you.

Pearl was a great friend of my mom and dad, Ray and Maude Harden, and as a result I got to enjoy Pearl's company over the years, too. I remember her fondly as a kind and gracious lady, with a ready smile.

Kent: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you mourn the loss of your Mother. It goes without saying that Pearl was an inspiration especially to me and to all who had the opportunity to know her. Pearl was always there for me as a teenager and as an adult. Her sweet spirit, positive attitude, and smile will be with us forever.

Kent, I will always remember our neighborhood and our loving welcome in your mom's house. I am so sad when I think of the times gone by. I'm glad I knew your mother, and her kitchen cookie jar. Those were good days and she was a very lovely lady. God bless you.

Kent,
I am so very sorry that I wasn't able to deliver the new sweat pants to Pearl. They were back ordered several times, and I still have not received them. I so wanted to be able to deliver them to her and see one more time that great smile of hers. As kids on 6th street Julie and I were privileged to be the recipients of her used high heeled shoes, and boy, did we ever have a great time with them! I know she watched us parade up and down the street in them and got some laughs out of that, for sure. We also used to go to the rock BBQ in her back yard and light the stick matches that were always there. We weren't supposed to light them, but we did, and when we used them all up, another box would always appear. I know your folks knew we were out there misbehaving, but they let us get away with it and didn't tell on us! Your Mom was a very gracious woman, and a good friend to my mother. She always asked about my family when we saw each other. She will be remembered.

Kent, I have so many great memories of your mother. We lived across the street from all of you on 6th st. She would always give me cookies when I asked for them. Last time I visited with her she reminded me of that fact! She was a gracious lady, so warm and loving. Nancy Sheern Reeve

One of the fringe benefits I got while working for Clark at the law office years ago was getting to know Pearl. Small in stature, big in character. Pearl was one of the kindest women I ever met. I will miss that infectious little smile. Prayers, Lynnette Suderman
