My heart is broken and my eyes leak, but I want to share a memory I have of Lula, back in 1969, mom was in the hospital having my baby sister, and we were taken to Lula's house until mom got home. My brother and I thought she was poisoning us by trying to make us eat weird stuff like okra, eggplant. She ended up making us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...I did like her homemade granola. My mom and Lula were best friends, and Lula comforted me when my mom passed away the way only Lula can do. Im so glad that we were able to see Lula while vacationing last year. I will miss her voice, her laughter, and her love. She loved her Lord, and Im sure Lula and my mom are up there laughing and cooking eggplant for when we are reunited.....Lula will always be Eggplant Lady, and what a lady she was....I will love you forever #2 mom.
