Margery was a wonderful cousin, we have many good memories. I will miss our Saturday night phone calls. If heaven has a bowling team, I'm sure Margery has already signed up on one. She is already being missed here.

Aunt Margery I have too many memories to begin to list. I still remember you taking me to Bible School, swimming lessons every summer and as second grade teacher to all of us.
You were a great lady and will be missed!

I met Margery through my Brother, Bill LaPorte. She was the neatest lady. We had some very good conversations when I'd go down to visit. One I recall in paticular we watched the Aplington-Parkersburg Football game on ESPN. It was the first football game after their coach, Ed Thomas was killed. Margery would ask me questions and we conversed during the game. A great lady is gone but truly never be forgotten!!! God Bless you Margery!!!!

Mrs. Spillman was the best 2nd grade teacher ever. I think she loved parties because that is what I remember most. Every Holiday was celebrated with a party and treats. She certainly touched many lives throughout her lifetime and those memories live on. She never put out another person's candle - she only helped them burn brighter.

Margery was a wonderful lady. She was my mother's(Leora Henry/Wiles)cousin, and I didn't see her much through the years but she was one of the kindest people I have known in my lifetime. I'm sure her light will continue to shine down on everyone who was a part of her life. I saw Margery in her home last year when I took Mother to see her and her strength & Spirit never ceased to amaze me. Bless you Margery.

Just wanted to say how sorry for the passing away of such a lovely, graceful and wonderful teacher! Mrs. Spillman was indeed my favorite teacher at Moran Grade School. She was a kind and caring lady that had great patience to everyone she taught. I will never forget her warm, bright smile and the love she had for teaching. She was the best!! May all that knew her be blessed to have known a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you Margery for being my teacher and friend.I have never forgotten you! Keeping her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I have so many memories of my Aunt Margery and Uncle Lee that I could write a book full of memories. Uncle Lee & Aunt Margery were there for me & my brother's and sister's every day, in one way or another. I remember Aunt Margery taking us to Bible School and Swimming Lessons every summer. I remember freezing in the car coming home from swimming lessons, as Aunt Margery was hot and had the AC on full blast. I remember that I would get scolded by Uncle Lee or Aunt Margery, when I deserved it!! God must have known that Mom and Dad needed the extra help, so he sent them for all of us. I remember how we always got our nicest outfit every Christmas and Birthday, which was for going to Church and Very Special Occasions. She always got us neat stuff, such as jewelry and makeup. As I got older, her and Uncle Lee gave us money but more importantly, they gave me loving advice that I will miss. Uncle Lee and Aunt Margery came to all of our ballgames and school events.
I believe that my sister's and brother's and I were so lucky to have had them in our lives. In so many ways they were our second set of parents. Uncle Lee taught Jim and Sam everything he knew about farming, along with Dad and Grandpa. I do know that they had a hand in helping a lot of friends, neighbors, and family in so many ways. Some of them may have been small and some may have been big. But one thing is for certain, Uncle Lee & Aunt Margery were larger than life and they had a hand in making the world a better place to be in. I know they made my world a better place to live in. I missed Uncle Lee since he left and I will miss Aunt Margery, along with Uncle Cubby, Aunt Helen, Aunt Hazel, Aunt Eileen, and my Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Vida. I am sure they are rejoicing with God and in no more pain. I will not say Good-Bye, as I will be looking for all of you when I get to the Gate of Heaven. Love to you all and See ya Later!
