Patricia Carol Wright, age 83, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Saint Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. Patricia was born April 29, 1935, in Rushville, Nebraska, to Russell Rose and Marie (Horalek) Rose. Patricia married LeRoy Wright on April 8, 1951, in Richmond, Kansas. Patricia earned a GED. She was a homemaker who later went to work for Gates Rubber Company in 1980, retiring from Gates Rubber Company in 1995. Patricia loved to crochet, making tablecloths and dollies from string and yarn. She liked to bowl. Patricia enjoyed travelling to go see family in Oregon, where she fished with her sons in the Snake River. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sons, Johnny Ray Wright, Arthur Wayne Wright, Roger Alan Wright; one brother, Kirk Rose; two sisters, Rita Slade and Bobbie Aadson; one grandson, Chance William Shrum; and one great-grandson, Rowdy Chancelor Shapel. Patricia is survived by three daughters, Katherine Ebensteiner and husband, Gary, Williminia, Oregon, Chris Stratton and husband, Jerry, Boring, Oregon, Sue Shrum, Iola, Kansas; one son, Larry Wright and wife, Fawn, American Falls, Idaho; one sister, Sandy Cousins and husband, Kenn, Chandler, Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
