My condolences go Alden's family and friends. Alden was our neighbor for many years while I was in school and later purchased our family farm when my father and mother decided to retire. He was always a good neighbor and friend to our family.

I was saddened to hear of Alden's passing. I knew Alden through the Kansas Crop Improvement Association since 1999. Although he was president of our organization a little before my time, he was instrumental in activities that led to the construction of our current office at 2000 Kimball. He had a rare pride and sense of responsibility that an organization rarely sees and KCIA was fortunate to experience. Alden always enjoyed discussing his time with KCIA and I always enjoyed our visits at the seed plant or at our conferences. I regret that the weather has precluded by presence at Alden's service but rest assured I was there in spirit. I will miss having Alden on the earth and wish him Godspeed.
