Obituary of Briana C. Heistand

Briana Christine Heistand, age 29, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Briana was born August 22, 1989, in Iola, Kansas, to Danny Ray Heistand and Reta M. (Frame) Hitchcock.

Briana graduated in 2008 from Marmaton Valley High School, Moran, Kansas. Briana worked as a machine operator and cook at Russell Stover Candy, Iola, Kansas.

Briana loved the outdoors, horses, fishing, barbequing with family and friends, playing sports, and she loved to shop. Briana's children were her world. Briana and her mother shared a special bond as best friends. She was very outgoing and outspoken, and liked being the center of attention and wrestling with her brothers.

Briana was preceded in death by her father; grandma, Christine Booth; grandpa and grandma, Orval and Verlin Frame; grandma, Emma Jean Woods.

Briana is survived by her children, Raina Rich, Traevon Rich, Lealah Rich, Iola, Kansas; mother, Reta Hitchcock and husband, Rodney Frye, Moran, Kansas; two sisters, Regina Skaggs and husband, Jimmy, Iola, Kansas, Jennifer Salazar, Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, Rodney Hitchcock, Springfield, Missouri, Jimmy Frye and finance, Katie Kelley, Iola, Kansas, Shaun Frye, Iola, Kansas; grandpa and grandma, Jim Frye and wife, Durenda, Yates Center, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in the Feurerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, Kansas.
