Obituary of Paul Sorenson

Paul F. Sorenson, age 76, Iola, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019, at his residence. Paul was born February 2, 1942, in Albany, California, to Furhman Sorenson and Helen (Nelson) Sorenson.

Paul graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1960. He served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1970. Paul served on the Iola Community Task Force.

Paul collected license plates, enjoyed creating unusual artwork, writing poetry, and making various items from wood. He liked to dance. Paul was a people-person.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marco Sorenson.

Paul is survived by one nephew, Troy Wagner, Discovery Bay, California; one niece, Tamra Wagner, Los Banos, California; two great-nieces, Amber Alves and husband, David, Los Banos, California, and Katelin Wagner, Greeley, Colorado.

A memorial service honoring Paul's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.  A private family inurnment will be at an unscheduled time in the "Legion Section For Military" in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.    

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas.
