When my husband Mike and I were transferred to Gates Iola from Gates Galesburg many years ago, it didn't take long for Mike to recognize Carol's talents. He eventually promoted her to a staff position and was never sorry! Carol and Don became our friends, just as our whole staff and families did in the six years we were in Iola and beyond! Too many wonderful memories to share, but never forgotten. Maybe Carol and Mike will be meeting soon since they are both in God's keeping now. Blessings to you all. Paulette Smith

Carol was one of my true friends while going to school and we recently attended our High School Reunion together, we had a wonderful time and one I will always remember. My brother -in- law Dustin and his wife my sister Missy, I'm so sorry for your loss of Carol. I can say she was such a giving lady, would do anything for anybody, my best memories were staying the night and having a glass of wine and listening to her stories, and loved antinqing, always funny just the smallest trinket she was excited. I've been truly blessed to have her in our lives, Dell always loved having her at the house during his cookouts, always said she was not that hungry thou ALWAYS shocked all of us. She defiantly had a "SWEET TOOTH". Carol you are in our thoughts, I will always talk to you when your looking down smiling. We know your in your happy place with Donald. Love CJ & Dell Ray
