Dear Family, Our sincere sympathy at the loss of your beloved Nelda. Nelda has blessed us with her friendship for many, many years. She was always such a faithful First Christian Church member. We enjoyed her love and commitment to Christ especially in our SOS Sunday School Class. Dear Family Members and Friends, May God’s love comfort you. I knew Nelda for many years. She was a cheerful assistant to my mother, Mary Anderson, Garnett. She shared news about her family, having grandchildren spending overnights with her and attending their activities with me. Her deep faith was obvious. She impacted so many people. Her nursing care made patients comfortable and less anxious. It was an honor to open a Cardiac Unit. She was a nursing pioneer. Sending you sympathy and love, Betty Forbes

Many prayers of strength to the family during this difficult time. Nelda was a great mentor in Nursing for me. We would get off night shift and eat breakfast at Yesterday’s restaurant, she would always order “scrambled eggs, and make sure there isn’t any white showing and well done.” I will be forever grateful for her wisdom. Jonathan, Jenna, Julie and families - Your mother was one of the kindest people I ever met. She never failed to speak to you when she saw you, and as you girls were growing up, your mom was one of the first to offer help whether it be Campfire, school parties, etc. She raised her children to be kind and considerate, that was apparent in the friendships you had with my children, Aimee and Aaron. Your mother was so very proud of all of her children. Jenna - you have so many of your mother's qualities; never change. I am sure Nelda is rejoicing with the Lord and is pain and worry free; what a blessing to know your parents are together again.
