Obituary of Mary Lou Draper

Mary Lou Draper, age 85, formerly of Moran, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Windsor Place, Iola, Kansas.

Mary Lou was raised on a homestead farm in Bronson, Kansas by her grandparents, John James Upton and Della Lora Upton, and father Charles Elmer Upton. Mary Lou married Lloyd William "Bill" Draper on December 25, 1954 in Iola, KS. They made their home at LaHarpe, Kansas a short time before settling on their farm north of Moran where they resided until 2014. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Elmer Upton and Theresa Adeline (Bouray) Rensing Upton; half-brother, Charles Lee Upton, a step-sister Marjorie Upton and two step-brothers, Fred Watkins and Bill Watkins.

Mary Lou is survived by one half-brother, Don James Upton of Kansas City and cousins, Doris Jean Upton Ganaway, Polly Sells and Donna Truit, and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery (Mildred), rural Moran.  The family will greet friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
