I am so sorry to hear of the passing of "Auntie Me". I was fortunate to have met her while accompanying her niece, Sharon Nielsen, to Kansas for Katdns wedding. Both "Uncle Bud" and "Auntie Me" graciously had us for "noon meal" which was yummy although I did not get the chance to eat her famous cinnamon rolls. (Sharon told me they were the best thing she ever made as she wiped all the cinnamon off her mouth) what I did see was a very kind loving woman who adored her family. I only wished I could have gone back to Kansas for another visit...and perhaps try a cinnamon roll. RIP Auntie Me.

Margaret Ellen was like member of our family. My parents spent many evenings playing cards with Bud and Margaret Ellen while all of us kids played together or watched TV. I remember many times wanting to go to Rogers for the evening. I would ask my mom “can we go to Rogers?” She would say “go ask your dad”. I would run ask him. He would say “go ask your mom”. This back and forth would go on for awhile then most evenings we would get to go or Bud, Margaret Ellen and the kids would come to our house. Great childhood memories.
